low resolution answer; we've always had high trust and collaboration between small groups going waaay back. however, in the late 1800s socialism started interbreeding with enlightenment philosophy and it took off among the lower classes that didn't hesitate to use violence (very often overlooked how the left used violence / terrorism in the early 1900s in many euro countries)
the socialist blob did what it does elsewhere and brought in the minorities they could, which in this case were suffragettes, who wholeheartedly joined the workers movement so they could force womens "issues" through this political platform. basically what happened was something like women unionizing in a grand fashion. fast forward to after WW2 and the Labor Party took control for the next thirty years where they did everything they could to coddle women. the western liberal ideas also contributed to this sort of thinking. this led to us giving women hormonal birth control, abortion rights and no fault divorce very early, almost as soon as the pill was invented it was in use. Abortion became legal in the early 70s as well.
The contraceptives compound womens power after the mind virus had hijacked most of the population who was used to cooperation on small scales to now thinking we aren't fractured.
