It's easy to skip characters if you're playing another gacha.
Like who cares about meta, FOMO, or FOTM on one game when you can prioritize those same things on a different game.

This is also why Genshin is declining. It's no longer the best game you can play on your phone and it's definitely nowhere close to being the best on console or PC.
