Still Christian.
But I'm not hardcore into helping the poor or being a missionary like the rest of my family.
Let me tell you that by helping people you could end up seeing the best and worst in them.
There's tons of stories I could tell you about people that my parents genuinely saved from death with their help, but the experiences I remember the most were the bad outcomes.
Some of the hobos my parents tried to help would literally throw food in their faces and
threaten with a knife or gun because they rather demand money to buy drugs.
I do agree that helping others is a noble thing to do, but I don't have the social battery for that, much less on a daily basis like my parents did.
I do help animals in need, sometimes I shelter orphan kittens or puppies, but when it comes to humans I pass.
I guess you could say that I got maxed out on that from my childhood experiences.
I have a soft spot for Hiyori as well.
I think BA did a good job portraying how following the philosophy behind Vanitas Vanitatum could lead to kids to awful conclusions.
