The term "2view" is actually a play on words on "2hu" from "touhou" and stems from the time before /vt/ existed and hololive and vtuber threads started dominating /jp/. When the native posters would complain about their threads being pushed off the catalog by vtuber threads, they would be met with "oh no, not the 2hus". At its inception, "2view" meant "someone who is not relevant to me" and was subjective, generally being used when someone would talk about anyone who was not hololive regardless of their actual CCV. The definition being tied directly to their CCV and subsequent additions of 3view and 4views are currently more widely accepted, but came later in /vt/'s lifespan.
