The buddhist ideal would be kinda like that. When a thing has occurred (and passed), the only thing about it that you can control are your emotions. The owner of the site in the OP didn't or couldn't do that. That being said, most people here who tell you to "not give a fuck" are not like that, but broken in one way or another; we live in a broken world that breaks people to sustain itself, so it should come as no surprise.

If you have resigned and decided to never act, not giving a fuck is a very healthy thing to do. The worries will get to you and it will likely affect your physical health as well. But this means basically being okay with the worst state the world will be in when you die. Making peace with yourself, the tragedies you've witnessed and the things that are to come is somewhat important if you want to stand strong. But why not make peace with a version of yourself that takes more drastic measures?
