As one who have living in vicinity of those countries. They are indeed very nice. But in summertime. If about Finland, then in wintertime, in southern part daylight is like 6 hours a day or so. Those who are not prepared for it, for them it can become really, really depressing.
In summertime on other hand, it is excellent. A lot of outdoor activities, from fishing to swamp soccer, to hiking in a woods. In late summer and early autumn, can go in a forest to pick some berries or shrooms.
Still, in winter time, need to somehow maintain sanity, and even not all locals manage to do it.
