It doesn't matter if the denim is trash because they'll only wear it for one season. To be fair american eagle doesn't have bad denim but I imagine the shit they'll pawn off this season won't be the same quality they've had previously to accommodate demand. Denim isnt cheap to produce and its usually a loss leader but makes up for it. They'll probably try and dissuade people from buying it in the hopes they'll move on to more profitable clothing. If anything its good that they're making stand. Doubt they'll ruin their image considering. But summer is almost over so who wants to buy denim in the fall? It soaks all the water up in the winter anyways. Need fuller garments in the cold. But the women are just buying it for the fashion... so... cheap light denim it is.
