they are everywhere and a pest species all along the eastern coast. they spread lyme disease and other tick born diseases because they are crawling with ticks. bug people that live in apartments have other wild life to worry about but anyone that lives near forest will have them around. they have discouraged and restricted hunting for so long you can drive an hour outside of manhattan and find bobcat, bear, fox, deer, rabbits all over the place and no one is really allowed to mess with them. having a backyard that smells like cat piss when there are no cats in the neighborhood means you have a big kitty lurking.
