A demon is by itself completely inert. It has no power of its own and can only tempt you to the degree that you want what it wants. The energies have to align for anything to happen. In the context of SR you have to really evaluate whether you really want it for what it is. If you are failing constantly it's because you don't really want it. Funny enough the allure of SR for a lot of men is the ability to attract women, which is counter to the goal (in the context of a mind purely attuned to SR). Along the way you should consciously evaluate what you really want out of SR and what you're really willing to do. If you really stick with SR you are shown the fleeting value of the things you overcome, but only after you have overcome it. As long as you value anything as more important than anything else it is necessarily distorted and cannot be perceived for what it truly is and how that relates to everything else.
