>You fags are all worked up as if these companies are doomed if they censor the tendie version
Okay, so far the only platform that has rejected the Neptunia Re;Births is Nintendo's. But what about Compile Heart's OTHER material? The deliciously ero shit they used to be infamous for? We saw Tokyo Clanpool get censored or banned by THREE (3) different storefronts in THREE (3) different countries. Nintendo, Steam, and even fucking GOG! They didn't even see the point in bothering with Playstation or Xbox. And that is one of their less provocative entries. Imagine what a Genkai Tokki game where the whole game and setting is built around ecchi fanservice would deal with. THAT is what the deal is. EVERY retail game storefront that isn't a small, otaku-catered front like DLSite, JAST, MangaGamer or KaguraGames is censoring games that released uninhibited on consoles a decade ago. 80-90% of Compile Heart's non-Neptunia backlog is effectively verboten now, and who knows how long Nep will last now that Nintendo has pushed the window further, to say nothing of other notable ecchi-focused moege like Gal*Gun and Senran Kagura. That is the state of things now. Censorship of this level and scale was not supposed to happen; the rating boards were supposed to head off this "brand protection" bullshit for at least E-M rated games. That's why I'm saying that this whole situation is proof the system is broken and drastic change needs to be enacted, likely on the legislative level.
