All this talk about whether Kris cares or not about his friends makes me wonder if our presence is passively starting to affect him, like he didn't have a soul prior to all us, be it he lost or whatever. Thinking back to flowey, even when he tried, he wasn't able to truly care.
If Kris is similar, I'd be inclined to think he's starting to have the ability to care come back simply by having us around. Just a thought
