I want to believe so. Provides a bit more context as to why we're here, and there's some solace in that. People have been trying to figure this out for thousands of years, men smarter than you or I, and we still have no real idea one way or the other. At the end of the day you have to just trust your gut and go with it for good or ill. I choose to think something is there. Not for anything as vain as Pascal's Wager, but in trying to understand existence and for the sake of learning. Learning about the great "why's" of things. Try reading some philosophy. Thomas Aquinas is a good place to start.
