Is it worth reading 7.3 MSQ or can I just skip everything?

I used to be a big lore dude who would read every MSQ but 7.0 has been just a massive slap in my face that I kinda just...gave up.
Then I tried to read again, just to be welcomed by the head of reason wanting to sacrifice himself for a fucking cow.
