Oh, that’s clever. It’s even being controlled by her Magic, not bad! Even with your goggles on, it’d be harder to see her movements, and with Magic effectively surrounding you, it’s just a bit harder to sense them too. That, and she seems to be hiding several Fire-enhanced Spirit Bits too, hiding them in the sandstorm, with you having to worry about blasts from them coming all around too. The ambient temperature also keeps rising, to say nothing of how it’s getting harder and hard to ignore the heated sand she’s trying to hit you with too. Additionally, those flaming wings of hers seem to add a degree more mobility even in an environment like this, the girl’s agility increased while also giving good reason to try to not get too close, lest one end up burned by them as well.
You’re not getting overwhelmed so easily though. After punching one of the Spirit Bits taking aim at you toward her with a Rasenken, you let out an Explosive Wave enhanced with Wind to push back the sand. Tanis, still up in the sky with you, attempts to conjure up a flaming serpent to send at you, but before it can coil around you, you’re behind her. “So the wrappings as a bit of a stand-in for a hairdo, huh? Not bad honestly. You do that yourself-” She backs away and tries to redirect the serpent, which now has blazing sand surrounding it. You avoid it with ease and continue, “-or was that mom’s doing?”
“Oh it was something I wanted to try out, I thought it looked cute and-” she tries to respond in a much more upbeat voice before stopping herself and stoically trying to respond, “I-I mean, do not be distracted with such details, Champion of Earth.” She sends several extending bandages your way, attempting to grapple you with them and send you back into the heated sandstorm. Instead, you grab on to them and fling her back down, right at one of your Ki mines. She gets knocked away, but keeps trying, using her wrappings again to try to grapple you, only for the same result to occur, as she hits another. Finally she tries a more direct attack, this time taking the broken hourglass that’s still spewing sand by the bandages and trying to set it upon you, only for you to send her away with another Wind-boosted Explosive Wave, once more knocking her into a mine and sending the hourglass into the oasis.
The sandstorm dies down as she flops onto the arena floor, letting out a soft groan. “Ohhh… I… I give… oww…”
“Peppa wins the third round!” Baba declares.
>A. Help Tanis up and out of the ring, she fought well
>B. Ask her if she’s considered adding Wind Magic into that mix, the blazing sandstorm is already pretty solid a combo, but it could be improved even more
