so i was explained this is why i need to send out work to the overseas office. a when i bill an hour they call it $200/hr for the company (I sure as heck do NOT get that) and for an over seas guy they get $30/hr. and like, i dont think they get 30/hr over seas there.
so the boss was like
>oh yeah you can have them spend EIGHT hours to your one
and im wondering if the ratio holds from what I think i get to what i think they get.
and im like
BUT I DONT WANT TO GIVE THEM WORK. because I still have to spend do things over and over again. when if I go to an in-person junior i tell him once and if HE is like $100/hr (which he does not) he does it once so ... I mean it seems like. i dont ge tthe math.
BOSS is thinking,
>well once they get up to speed then it is free money! you get them to the level you tell them once!
yeah maybe. someday.
but.
we just lost an experienced guy because we trained him to be a SuperOverseas-er and he got more money from some other company that I am sure is still not paying him much.
so the thing I am seeing now is I am not sure I like that business plan.
because. really. how does that benefit me?
