Or just go to a small town like 90% of this country where absolutely none of this affects you. Pick up a trade and you make like 60-80k while rent and groceries are dirt cheap. Also MIT and some of the best private education is in New England. I get why this would appeal to tourists and 'wanderlust' reddit people. But if you're going to live somewhere I don't get why you would do it on a national basis, do you want your state dictating your life?
