If your faction can have a dedicated artillery stack with like 6 cannons and some heroes that replenish them following your main stack around then it's going to be easier than ever.
For the same reason defending will be harder since you'll have to send someone out of the walls to take out enemy artillery instead of sniping the crew with basic towers.
Flying single entities and big monsters that smash down gate should be just as good
Grounded spellcaster can still hug a blindspot between towers and spam magic to their hearts content
Honestly it might not be so bad as long as the AI doesn't completely shit the bed because of missing ladders and the speed up on tower construction is fast enough to be able to field a bunch of them in a single turn, but it's probably not going to make sieges fun
