The only race horse I knew about before Uma is the Aussie goat Phar Lap, and I only know him because his big as fuck heart and taxidermy are on display in a museum here. Apparently it's 1.5 times the size of a the average thoroughbred. They cut him up to see if he was poisoned since he died mysteriously, I think in the end they determined that it was an overdose from the fucked up performance tonics they fed the horses back then.
