Mid-west/Plains are GOATed for cloud formations and epic thunder storms. You can see way in the distance and see distant thunder storms like a light show. And when you're camping in it it's really crazy the wind is insane and you feel so little. For the weather alone the great plains are one of my favorite areas. The sky just looks massive.
