I dont get why he doesnt jump... the possession is lost, hes never going to catch the ball first, Im sorry but he is beaten for the ball, there is no way to get there first. He's got a brief window of time to evade the crash. He can see he's too late to play the ball first, but somehow he goes all in like a fucking meteor crashing on a planet.
