i played through some of the older tony hawk games recently and it made me go down a rabbit hole on youtube of all the teenagery shit i used to listen to. early 2000s hip hop videos are so tame compared to the modern shit, it’s basically soft core porn with a monotonous jingle on top. some songs from more obscure metal bands i cant even find any more. i am glad they dont just mute swear words in “clean versions” of songs anymore, fuck that is so jarring. i am STILL pissed off they wiped entire comment sections. i used to like scrolling through those while piss drunk if there wasn’t a music video. they took that from me.
