Not even remotely true and not at all what I meant. I'm not talking about "sitting back and waiting for things to magically be solved". What's a bigger cope than having an existential reassurance is thinking magically one day all of these things will be walked back, AI will be regulated, the monopolies on discussion will suddenly decide to make ammends, and the big psyopped places on the internet like 4chan will suddenly go back to how they were prior to that being so (see https://crestresearch.ac.uk/resources/mining-the-chans/).
It has fuck all to do with "defeatism". There's no "giving up" in this.
I have been given no reason to think these things will improve and few people even identify them as a problem, exceedingly few even know what the fuck a "false hegemony" is. If you think that things WILL be walked back than why don't you answer the question at the start of my post?
