I don't know what the main problem is, EU has never been a particularly strong region overall but it seems like it's getting harder and harder for them to keep up. A lot of it could be ascribed to shitty management, in Asia promising rookies are getting constantly scouted and incorporated into teams, in EU you get import rejects that are bottom tier in LCK, or boomers like Abbeddage that have proven they are dogshit regardless where they play.

Franchising really fucked us over, you had shit like Rogue that speedran 10th place every single recent split without consequences whatsoever, now you'll have SK that will probably end up there. The rest is shit too. It's like EU is not allowed to properly grow and foster talent.

Yeah, but the regions with more bums can't recover because bums never go away. I'm sure there are other, impactful problems but this one just sticks out so much when you see shit like Poby being signed to FNC, incredible how bad it can be without anyone being judged for it.
