I was at my mother's for christmas dinner in december just gone, and the carbon monodixe detector beeped 3 times then paused then repeated this and everyone just looked around confused except for me because as a caretaker i recognised the 3 beeps meant danger. I tried to get everyone out into the garden but people just said the battery was low, then one person took the battery out entirely to shut it up
thankfully it wasnt a major leak or it was a false positive, because we are all alive and none have brain damage
