i'm half spanish half english (english surname due to dad being english but latin first name)

people hear my first name when i introduce muyself and assume i'm just a med despite having had blonde hair as an infant (it's chestnut now) and light green eyes because i go abroad a lot (especially spain and italy) and tan easy

on certain forums i get called "wog" and "spic" for having darkish features (see my eye -picrel)

what they don't realise is my mum is from northern catalonia and is white as snow, blonde, blue eyed etc)

dad was pretty swarthy as he was from west england which has less anglosaxon heritage and remains celt/roman moreso than where i live now im the east of england which is more anglo and slightly viking so inherited a bit of swarthiness which makes me stand out a bit

it's really frustrating that people just box me in as "mednigger" or "swarthoid" etc (some even call me a paki lol) despite having a perfectly clipped received pronunciation accent (think posh south east englander)

english people are pretty racist deep down which coupled with cultural and geographical cluelessness just adds to this whole narrative that i'm "not white" or aomething

really pisses me off.

i would move somewhere else if i could and really considered south america as people are more racially aware than here where it's just "you're a nigerian so you live in the nigeriean area" etc

dunno what to do. it's hilarious that people assume i'm dark because i have spanish roots when my spanish family are all practically translucent they're so pale and blue eyed
