Suu being a numberphile and not math genius is part of the appeal. Nano is already one that is good with studies and math, so Suu stands out as not being smart. Her obsession already used in more versatile situations then I would have initially expected and having unique duties like announcing gf's birthday feels like having a special role. I get what you want but I prefer it current way. Give me entire chapter of Suu seething at math with Nano trying to help her study
