Looking it up, the GeForce RTX 6090 is supposed to have 32 GB video memory. A 4090 has 24GB VRAM. So if you can use all the VRAM in 2 4090s like one card then you'd have 48GB VRAM, which is more than the 6090's 32.
The 6090 might have better clock speed or other such things but for AI gens the amount of VRAM seems to be the most important thing, especially as models keep getting bigger and bigger.
Although for image gens you'd probably be set for years and years either way, the larger size matters more for more resource intensive gens like video or text.
