This is the answer to every nation asking if they should build nukes going forward. Without nukes, you are slave, with nukes you are untouchable. Any nation defying US diktat is likely to find itself on the end of an airstrike. No reasoning, no rules based order, just raw power justifying it's own actions. Funny enough, the american firearms market is similar. The obama administration made a big, BIG stink about ar-15s about 12 years ago. It set off a chain reaction that has led to the proliferation and saturation of ar-15s to the point of entirely new markets opening up that didn't exist when obama was president. Ar-15s are also half the price they were in 2010.
