Maybe not SO much better but Underwater (2020) is the film that comes to mind when discussing gaybaiting. When Jessica Henwick's character is broadcasting their confession of love over the comms before dying alone and unheard, it turns out she's talking about random guy?? And Kristen Stewart loves other character man? Who the fuck are they even talking about, those characters are barely in the movie. Meanwhile these two are advertised in the trailer looking like this and acting the same.
