I literally live in the region of the US where all the sugar is grown and the local milk companies are literally removing the milk sugars and replacing it with HCFS because industry has become so obsessed. I'm 95% certain it's because the US prohibits trans fats from milk, which is major overreaction considering artificial trans fats (an industrial byproduct formerly inserted into food) were the problem and milk is the only natural source of trans fat in the human diet.

I have no idea how HCFS has gotten this bad but it has to stop.
