If your platoon isn't within 5%, you should leave for a new one.
If your danchou isn't working their damned hardest to fill up any slots, join a new platoon.
If your platoon hasn't even reached level 7 yet, it's time to move on.
If you are a danchou of a sub-5% platoon, consider breaking up and merging.

You should consider joining one of the platoons with openings at level 8 first. A /gfg/ tag is the safest one to have to not be rejected from any.
