Swedish Institute of International Affairs:
Mia Horn af Rantzien is a Swedish economist and diplomat. She served as the Chief Economist at Sweden’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She was Minister at the Swedish Representation in Geneva, where she was Sweden's board representative in several United Nations organizations, including the International Labour Organization, the UN Conference on Trade and Development, and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. She was the Chair of the World Trade Organiation’s Aid for Trade Task Force. She is the chairperson of the Swedish Institute of International Affairs’ board of directors. She was also a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Ageing.

She is a descendant of the elite Horn bloodline, a Swedish noble family of Pomeranian origin. The family was fairly prominent in the Swedish military, as several of its members attained senior officer rank.
