In Seasons 1-6 there's a tranny character that they literally call "the tranny" more than her actual name (the actress is an IRL woman).
Season 6 was in 2010.
Season 13 was the next reference to transgenderism which aired in 2018 and you could feel the vibe shift. Suddenly they're extremely cordial towards trans rights issues. Dee (the femoid) said she'd have no issue with sharing a bathroom with a transwoman and all the other charachters (including bigoted old man Danny Devito) nodded in agreement as if it was an obvious thing to say.

IRL it had been 8 years but for me it had been 2 weeks. Something happened in that period of time where mainstream America's view on the trannards did a complete 180.

Pendulum swinging a bit back the other way since 2022 though I'd say.
