The German authorities are planning to introduce a new fee not only for water, but also for electricity. This was reported by Politico, citing the German Ministry of Economic Affairs. The fee is intended to finance the construction of power plants that will be activated in case of a shortage of conventional energy sources, such as prolonged periods of low wind or a sharp increase in market prices.
