It was always hit or miss, but in what way is D not militaristic? Maxwell's design also despite having a lot of high tech gear has a clear industrial utilitarian aesthetic. I don't have a problem with a character like Rupee, but it is a missed opportunity that they couldn't fit in some sequined ammo mags or a Gucci camelbak between the shopping bags.
