This is my problem with Little Busters. It has a great common route and two fantastic "final" routes (Refrain and Saya) but everything in between is just over the top drama clashing with the tone of the vn (muh wartorn country, muh mafia family, muh second personality, muh >whatever the fuck was kurugaya going through) starring girls who get shafted and don't really contribute to the climax since Refrain is all about the OG 5, as opposed to something like Maijkoi's Agave route where all the Kazama family and even Gen-san are involved. It's just an overly bloated VN where every part not written by Maeda feels like padding for playtime.
