Countries who actually had colonies thought it could be worth it, it isn't, in our case (spaniards) we have to bear with their rethoric, "they stole our gold so we can be mean to them now!"(it was 500 years ago) and moors saying "muh al-andalus!", which we expelled them and there is no genetic trace in our blood, i'm more close to norwegians (some I2 haplogroup) than to north africans.
