I tried to go to the local Kohl's to purchase some socks. I spent twenty minutes trying to find an acceptable pair because corporations have gotten cheap with fabric and want everybody to wear socks that are tight enough they could double as condoms. And then the checkout girl made no fewer than three attempts to try and get me to embrace Kohl's cash so that yet another corporation could harvest my data and send me dozens of daily "deals" in my email.
