They take the meter (which is basically a yard) and then say "Oh look, we have all these other units like, uh... one thousand meters! And one thousandth of a meter! And uh, one hundredth of a meter too! So useful!" You know why you retards sell lumber that is 0.024 meters wide? It's because 24 is a USEFUL number, unlike 10 (notice how 24 is the number of INCHES in 2 FEET???)
You literally have built an ad hoc system with metric except you're stuck with the shitty fucking meter.
