It’s not even a question of nuances. Madoka is a waifu anime, it’s aimed at men. There are basically no husbandos to attract women. Magical girl anime are usually aimed at very young girls and adult men. Madoka was a late night anime so it’s clear they didn’t have the former group in mind at all.
