Here's a test of new models compared to WAI.

One of the new models today was https://civitai.com/models/1784945/bondiment , which is a mix of MiaoMiao Harem and One obsession. Looking at the models I decided to test those two since I haven't seen anyone talk about them and apparently they're very popular on CivitAI?

Both of these seem to be anime-influenced 2.5D models. They seem to be fine quality models with some example images on CivitAI showing they can have a more anime look with the right prompts.

Another new one is https://civitai.com/models/1784563/rurudo-style-finetune , which is a chinese model intended to emulate the style of an artist named "rurudo." Surprising to see this being done with an entire model instead of a LORA. Still it's a soft color anime look if that's what you're looking for.

Lastly, as a possible horrible look into the future, https://civitai.com/models/1785579/pony-peoples-works-base-noobai "Pony: People's Works" is a chinese model deliberately trained with AI-generated images published by users on CivitAI, mostly PonyV6 images. It seems to want to fill the image with a lot of clutter, and may have more of the anatomy issues that PonyV6 had. An interesting experiment perhaps but not something I'd recommend using seriously,
