The game on hard mode (which the recent update allows you to play from the start) is genuinely hard, the combat expands a lot around the mid game and the bosses do get better and better, this is a rare game where you feel stronger and more badass especially in the last half while the bosses get stronger and more badass, for some reason a lot of games sorta fail this constant elevation of intensity and expanding yet useful moveset. Id recommend it and I just finished it 2 days ago. The sexiest outfit in the game to is Crimson wings (pic below) tied with White Pearl. The game is reminiscent of Action games of the past (not in a bad way) with a lot of collectibles and it boss rush.
