It's funny how people don't realize that the P1 ending is basically the same as the Taxi Driver ending.
They think it's supposed to be this super wholesome "complete"" ending for Denji's arc even though the man literally tells you that his desires have gone out of control, he's no longer satisfied with just one girl, he's no longer satisfied with eating a regular breakfast, and he has lost any sense of what's "normal" or "ordinary", because Makima inadvertently turned him into an icon, her last laugh basically in ruining whatever could've been a peaceful and decent life for him.
