if you suck at this game then learn to play by using a sparks and a fast pistol like officer, focus on outpositioning and "getting the drop" on enemies you're fighting with (not stealth ambushing), shoot once, reload and re-position while the other guy reloads or healing, never double-peek the same angle. always pre-aim around corners in fights.
know when to push and when to retreat, don't sit back and let the last guy revive his teammates when you could rush him 3v1 and he's out of ammo. don't pointlessly crouch around while your teammate just got killed and you hear them rushing towards you or the other one.
single shot rifles force you to take more careful shots and be mindful of your position, sparks is cheap long ammo with good velocity.
dont run into shotguns with your rifle or vice versa.
"better" gear only matters when you know how to use it with these basics.
there are situations where you just get countered like running into shotgun team in a small forest area but in compound fights, try to think from a top down perspective and how to flank and retreat, usually getting one kill opens up a huge pushing opportunity and options.
