Ignoring the fact that this is not ever how Bruce and Hulk operates. There are far more times where Bruce quickly becomes the Hulk again, there are even times where Bruce is just happy or normal and he just turns into Hulk for no reason. The only reason Death Battle gave Hulk a weakness he never had to begin with was because they originally had to write a way out of making him lose to Doomsday, and then they believed their own koolaid so much that it carried over to his battle with Broly. Also, they had a terrible interpretation of the Green Door too.
