Lone Wolf. Having a main character adds what could be described as drama to the game. Its such an insanely open-ended start that you could do anyhting if you wanted.
But the lategame (and ultra lategame) post 1st crysis is somewhat annoying due to the 12 member limit. Every single bro has to be amazing, able to lift his own weight all the while be flexiable enough to use against all enemies... Geting a casualty at that point is tedium overdoze as finding a replacement and to train them up is hard.

Close second is Deserters. Very cool bonus while keeping the campaign fairly vanilla.
