Kinda depends. It makes sense in the scenario of the Speedrunner Isekai for example because the game had a first-person setting he wasn't fan of. It isn't far-off for him to be able to do that since his isekai body is ripped by default allowing him to run through a forest while the princess was gasping for air. He isn't using some advanced swordsmanship, he is hit and running the hitboxes and brings up Forced Loss scenarios.
When you are in Log Horizon however they point out early on that everyone was struggling and had to adapt to their game parameters first like being too tall or too short, having to jump around, not having the advantage of the 3rd person screen and those conveniences. By the point they are trivializing stuff they were used to, they had already properly adapted to the world.
Outside that, yeah you are right, they should have issues. There was one anime that the MC even complained that he was struggling in swordsmanship and gets chewed on for believing just because he could hold a sword this would mean he'd be able to fight 1v1 against people that bothered training and true to that he couldn't keep up having to learn the ropes properly.
