Reika cloned Kurono in a moment of weakness and desperation, not to fulfill any fantasies she had because every bit of evidence before and after points at her loving Kurono as sincerely and deeply as Tae if not more. The fact that her and Kuroclone's fate were what they were came as a result of Oku writing himself between a rock and hard place. He knew he created a MUCH better written character with Reika that worked better as end game's Kurono perfect match, but at the same time he also knew that Kurono only existed thanks to Tae (at least partially), and bailing on her would have been like walking back on his character development he had, so he tried to have his cake and eat it too and of course that didn't fully worked out. Bottomline is that she wasn't portrayed as inherently on the wrong for what she did, she made a decision and had to live with the consequences. You know, that's what actual characters have to deal with, unlike plot devices like Tae.
