It might be to some extent, but you really don't need to do much. Americans are c o n s t a n t l y shitting on all of the Europe. Constantly shitting on "nannystate" and that the initiative will be bad because of "government overreach" and such. And that attitude has been going much longer than this initative has existed. Hell, since lootbox talks when it comes to vidya talk. And mention things like bicycle, public transit, or walkable town/city and see the reaction from Americans.
