All of their weapons are made from American SoC (System on Chip) packages. They trivialize advanced weapon system design so that even an EE student with a soldering iron can slap together something that works. Iran is sanctioned but anything you can buy on Mouser can be shipped through a million suppliers willing to ignore the sanctions and the U.S. can do nothing about. Instead of a team of high-IQ engineers working on something for a decade, just buy a part from Texes Instruments or Analog Devices, Honeywell, etc, for a few thousand $ and get an all-in-one fully working flight control and navigation system for your missile. Every single advanced weapon system produced by the 3rd world in the last 20 years is the same story — Made in America stickers all over. These commercial SoCs can’t compete with true military-grade systems but they are good enough for shitholes like Iran and North Korea.
